Everton Football Club is a football club based in Liverpool, competing in the Premier League. The club have competed in the top division for a record 114 seasons, missing the top division only four times (1930–31 and three consecutive seasons starting with 1951–52) since The Football League was created in 1888. Everton have won 15 major trophies: the League Championship nine times (fourth most as of 2017–18), the FA Cup five times (ninth most) and the UEFA Cup Winners Cup once.

Formed in 1878, Everton were founding members of The Football League in 1888 and won their first League Championship two seasons later. Following four League Championship and two FA Cup wins, Everton experienced a lull in the immediate post World War Two period, until a revival in the 1960s, which saw the club win two League Championships and an FA Cup. The mid-1980s represented their most recent period of sustained success, with two League Championships, an FA Cup, and the 1985 European Cup Winners' Cup. The club's most recent major trophy was the 1995 FA Cup.

The club's supporters are known as Evertonians. Everton have a rivalry with neighbours Liverpool, and the two sides contest the Merseyside derby. The club has been based at Goodison Park in Walton, Liverpool, since 1892, after moving from Anfield following a row over its rent. The club's home colours are royal blue shirts with white shorts and socks.

Cahill's last minute winner v Blackburn | On This Day 2010

Comment on Facebook

Nzonzi scored an absolute belter for Blackburn that day as well. Great game.

Where are the Moyes haters today? Nowhere cos they realised how good we were compared to now

Yak 😭, Arteta 😭, Cahill 😭 miss those beauts

Beautiful kit, one of my favorites along with this season's away.

That kit was fantastic!

Tim cahill has to be my best player for everton. Even though some of kendalls champ winning and cup winners cup players are gods cahill just pips it for me.

We used to enjoy watching every match, players and manager are true blue, just want to win every single match. What’s now, Silva? What now?

3 strikers on at the same time! Those were the days

Remember this yeah when we were actually good yes we didn’t win nothing but could beat smaller teams and teams in top 6 & 4 now look at us. 4 poor mangers including Silva anyone says Silva isn’t poor manager is deluded and we can’t even beat Fulham.😡

Harry Perry William Thomas Anichebe Prime Icon

Robert Maynard these were the days

Fat Sam was managing Blackburn - he slagged off Cahill before the game saying he could only ever score with his head...

We’re is the arteta money

Pace power and fight that team

Bring back this team

Robert Williams 😂😂😂

Arteta poked Pedersen in the eye in this game if I remember rightly. And he also a scored a penalty against them season after then left week later.

Was in the home end for the game through local junior football team, managed to keep quite for 80 minutes. Bloke in front of me turned round and shook my hand before leaving before final whistle

Lawn mower money ken

Arteta Our next manager hopefully with Stubbs Cahill & Ferguson on his coaching team

Would be great to line up with 3 strikers again one day

Got that top with cahill on back, hangin up in my hallway 👍🏻

And now it’s just average dcl , inconsistent tosun or winger richarlison

Did we have 3 upfront in that game? Yakubu, Anichibe and Saha?

How attaching was this team.

The futures bright the futures blue 🔵

Congratulations well done lads 💙

Jayley Rickman nice

Can't believe how little exposure our under 23's winning 2 titles in 3 years is getting. If one of the "big clubs" had a youth set up as good as ours there would be no end to the future star articles being pumped out.

That penalty!!!!!! Funniest thing I've seen for years!!!! Super well played Everton! Future looks good

Well done lads 💙

Congratulations lads really well done and well done David unsworth

Congratulations to you all U23, champions!!⚽️👏😀💙💙💙

It shows we have a Good Academy. Give them a chance just like Ajax FC give their youth academy a chance to proof themself. We don't need to buy players.

Great achievement lads, congratulations! Hopefully some of you can be real contenders for the first team in years to come.

Well done lads a real football club producing the stars of the future would like to see some of them getting some game time this season as a reward for their great effort.

Valencia FC have the same practice. Grooming and promoting their Youth Academy

wonderful everton congratulations .

Exceptional. Hopefully we are looking at future first team players. What a great academy we have. 💙

Great atmosphere last night Lads did well. Well deserved 👍👍👍

The seeds have been planted and the tree is bearing fruit....onwards and upwards guys, well done COYB

Congratulations. Showing the 1st XI how it’s done. Well done 👍🏻

Well done lads, and a special mention to Unsy.

Great achievement well done blues.

Some talented lads on show last night. Would definitely hope to see more of them preseason and challenge the first team. The two wide lads really shone, as did Brendan. Both cb dealt with the aerial challenge well despite the clanger of a pen challenge!!

What a great season the lads have had well done boys and of course well done Unsy your a star coyb

Brilliant well done

Give them a chance in the 1st team.

Congratz and well done!!
