Everton Football Club is a football club based in Liverpool, competing in the Premier League. The club have competed in the top division for a record 114 seasons, missing the top division only four times (1930–31 and three consecutive seasons starting with 1951–52) since The Football League was created in 1888. Everton have won 15 major trophies: the League Championship nine times (fourth most as of 2017–18), the FA Cup five times (ninth most) and the UEFA Cup Winners Cup once.

Formed in 1878, Everton were founding members of The Football League in 1888 and won their first League Championship two seasons later. Following four League Championship and two FA Cup wins, Everton experienced a lull in the immediate post World War Two period, until a revival in the 1960s, which saw the club win two League Championships and an FA Cup. The mid-1980s represented their most recent period of sustained success, with two League Championships, an FA Cup, and the 1985 European Cup Winners' Cup. The club's most recent major trophy was the 1995 FA Cup.

The club's supporters are known as Evertonians. Everton have a rivalry with neighbours Liverpool, and the two sides contest the Merseyside derby. The club has been based at Goodison Park in Walton, Liverpool, since 1892, after moving from Anfield following a row over its rent. The club's home colours are royal blue shirts with white shorts and socks.

Big Dunc joined the Blues 24 years ago today! 💪🏼 ... See moreSee less

🎵 Duncan, Duncan Ferguson! 🎵

Comment on Facebook

He was my hero as a kid! 💙 I drew him pictures and wrote him a letter when he was burgled that time and broke his hand walloping them one 😂 He sent me back a thank you letter, a signed picture of him, a signed picture of the team and I got invited to goodison to meet him and the team!! 💙😁💙😁 I was in my absolute element!

At a time when we had nothing, He gave us everything.

That’s what you call passion ! X

He completely encapsulated the pride and the spirit that all Evertonians want to see! He played with the same passion and hope that all of us fans show in our support.

Injury free was unplayable at times .

He is the reason my boy (born 24 years ago tomorrow) has the middle name Duncan Fergusson 💙

💙 absolutely adore him, have done since the day he signed (first time). Every club needs a Duncan Ferguson!

Hero big Duncan a legend

Get him playing now, do better than Tosun haha

Don't make em like they used to

I never rated him, passionate but not enough talent. He would never score 20+ a season which us what we need from a striker

On his day unstoppable - if it wasn't for the injuries and to be fair if he was playing in a better team he could have achieved so much more. What really impresses me about big Dunc is his charity/community work really caring side to his nature which often gets overlooked by the hard man reputation/image.

The big man is mr everton, pride passion and aggresion all for the badge, the fans, manager and his team mates. We all know he would've played a lot more and probably scored a lot more if it wasn't for injury and his little holiday.

My hero as a kid even named my son Zach Duncan Ferguson after him and he told big Dunc that he was named after him when he was 5 at his testimonial haha

Only didn't score 20 a season because he only played for half of it because of injuries! Wish he was in our starting 11 now! Legend!

Only for all the injuries and suspensions he could have realised his full potential!

Loved the club, showed true passion and put the fear of god up the opposition, could do with that now

Best header of the ball you'll ever see my idol big dunc

Could've done with him playing our last 2 games.

Not only a passionate blue and a great player, but Dunc is also a very nice man. I have had the pleasure to meet him a couple of times. All the best big man.

This is the kind of player Everton needs. A real leader.

Unplayable on his day When he played with Alan Shearer at Newcastle that must have been the most feared strike force in the league

Big Dunc. My hero. Awesome Everton player. Fantastic newcastle player.

Scored goals in big moments, even when everyone knew it was going to be a long ball to Dunc, he’d still somehow win it in the air and score

Wonder if he shakes his head as much as me. He gets paid, i pay to watch. Nah, i shake my head more

Leighton Baines: 400 Premier League appearances

Comment on Facebook

Should have brought him on last night for the penalty.

One of the best left backs ever to grace the pitch. Pacey, tackles good and was a phenomenal set piece specialist. COYB. 💙

Amazing player! Should have played much more for England. Stayed loyal to us when other clubs were trying to tempt him away. Hopefully, can stay within the Everton fold when he finishes playing.

He'll probably retire in the summer, can't see him getting another contract and he won't want to move. So cheers Bainsey!

Happy birthday Leighton. Should have brought you on for that penalty last night!

Happy birthday Bainesy. Great servant to Everton. One of the best left backs in the world.

happy birthday Leighton, hope you will stay and pass on your wonderful talents to the young boys, a legend

Thanks for everything Bainesy!!! Good luck with the future!!

Needed you last night Leighton. Happy birthday.

Happy Birthday Leighton 'Bainsey' 😘

Happy Birthday to a True Blue. Think he should still get a game, brilliant at set pieces! A great bloke on and off the pitch. Love him!💙

Happy birthday Leighton, we need your calmness in front of goal back.

Happy Birthday Dear Bainesey! You are the best ever!

Happy Birthday Leighton!!All the Best!!

played 2 small clubs at home and couldn't beat either just not good enough

missed a penalty... let in 2 goals after leading... very bad attitude... complacent...! but great fight back to draw... well done...!!!

Picture of the Everton fans in the sun today.pathetic.giving success hand signals and abusing him, grown adults doing that .bet their kids are proud of them.as and Everton fan you give the opposition bit of banter .but when it's vile like that .not acceptable.we are supposed to be a friendly bunch .but like most clubs you get idiots that tarnish the clubs reputation.

Not sure whether it’s a good or a bad thing, but the foreign lads (summer signings) seem to be the ones who look most arsed. Hopefully next few windows we attract similar players, and have more of winning mentality. Coleman etc all great servants, say the right things leading up to a derby, but same outcome occurs- failure, underachievement. Bored of it...

COYB only team on Merseyside!!

we need a blowout! 5-0. Hat trick for Coleman!!!

will need to win the match tonight Deeney score

And we could have won if SOMEONE hadn't scored an own goal and SOMEONE hadn't missed a penalty, thank you Coleman and Sigurdsson. :(

dreadful. defending was pathetic, the communication is massively lacking, someone needs to command it and its not keane or mina

That was the single worst performance I've seen in three seasons. Getting what you're all paid you need to be truly ashamed of yourselves to be putting an Everton FC shirt on. Who the Hell do you think you all are playing like a Sunday league side at the level you're all playing at? We have a saying here in England: "more money than sense" that's you lot playing in this game. Could not be arsed could you. Shame on you bringing shame on Liverpool tonight. We could be battling for a top three place again, instead not. And why? It's a question of soul.

Man City will roll you lot over next weekend

This game is shite coyb sort it out

We are shambles.janaury transfers wont save our season.every game is like watching the most horrible and scary creepy movie

COYB lets do this tonight. Should win but it wont be easy and thats not our style anyways :)

As long as we win, Gyilfi scores from outside the area, and Deeney scores a header, I'll be happy. 😁

Another shite Monday night game

We need to bring back Deulofeu & Lukaku. They are best in Everton shirts.

Lookman to start but otherwise same again coyb let's win under the lights

Coyb win before City away game please!💙

By all means, we didn’t deserve the point, but glad are fought for atleast that

Pen miss was bad, Watford knew how to play Silva, lot of sloppy control should have been more physical ref sucked,an ugly win would have been better.

c o y b we need a killer touch upfront

Well I do not live in Liverpool.i know you lot don't buy it .

Everton in 2017/2018: 19 points; 9 Place; in 2018/2019: 24 Points - 7nd Place. And you can believe: you will make great 2nd half of season! Europe League will became a reality!

Shite its going to be a long hard December. We need to show some guts from now on. City Spurs Burnley🔥 Brighton and Leicester the 1st of January. 🔥

Marco's reaction to late Watford draw

Comment on Facebook

Rubbish till we get a striker were doing nothing should be beating teams like huddersfield watford and newcastle piss poor that 2nd half

We Teresa May’d that right up.

Time for Niasse to be on the bench

Sorry but a rb needs to be signed. Love seamus but we are better than his level now

The derby loss has affected us badly 🤬

Decent winger in the window please as Walcott and Bernard are shite

Walcott more static than my nans caravan

Should of gone for the second every man and there dog cod see we were going to concede there tonight

poor performance, walcott needs resting until he decides where his heart is,cos it aint in a blue shirt at the moment, 2 points dropped tonight

How about ensure you control the game for 90 mins instead of switching on and off and rescuing a point, you can't let teams dominate you at home like that at the beginning of the 2nd half it was beyond a joke.

Average.....to say the least. NEED MORE FIGHT!

We were lucky really I think. Love Gylfi but he’s missed too many pens. All in all a good point.

I Don't know about angry bird's but youve got angry Fans grrrrr

We were shite lucky to get a point

Walcott plays like a kid ballhogging on the playground...

Show some emotion to get players going..like you don't care

Why does Michael Keane have a 50p for a head?

Two absolutely dire performances at home and games Everton should win. Not having Bernard, Gylfi, coleman or Gana at the moment either. Can’t see us getting much against city so will be 4 without a win. Not good enough.

Walcott don’t offer anything he’s finished

We get bullied by more physical sides..........

Shite!! Went 1 0 and played like we where 6 0 up!! No matter how early you score you don’t change your game plan. Striker need ASAP and a RB!!

About time we had a new penalty taker???

Bit of a shambles lads.

Abysmal is too generous.

First 20 mins, sound. After that, f**king awful. Need a right back
