Everton Football Club is a football club based in Liverpool, competing in the Premier League. The club have competed in the top division for a record 114 seasons, missing the top division only four times (1930–31 and three consecutive seasons starting with 1951–52) since The Football League was created in 1888. Everton have won 15 major trophies: the League Championship nine times (fourth most as of 2017–18), the FA Cup five times (ninth most) and the UEFA Cup Winners Cup once.

Formed in 1878, Everton were founding members of The Football League in 1888 and won their first League Championship two seasons later. Following four League Championship and two FA Cup wins, Everton experienced a lull in the immediate post World War Two period, until a revival in the 1960s, which saw the club win two League Championships and an FA Cup. The mid-1980s represented their most recent period of sustained success, with two League Championships, an FA Cup, and the 1985 European Cup Winners' Cup. The club's most recent major trophy was the 1995 FA Cup.

The club's supporters are known as Evertonians. Everton have a rivalry with neighbours Liverpool, and the two sides contest the Merseyside derby. The club has been based at Goodison Park in Walton, Liverpool, since 1892, after moving from Anfield following a row over its rent. The club's home colours are royal blue shirts with white shorts and socks.

Bernard's Beautiful Strike Sinks Watford! ⚽️

Brilliant Bernard! 💙💙 What a goal!

Brilliant goal. Bernard was outstanding all day 👍🏼

An absolute stunning goal!

That Kean looks amazing!

Brilliant goal😉 Hopefully that is the start of many more for the season for Bernard 😉

What a cross though - fantastic 💙💙💙💙

Beautiful goal, we need to get a few more like these, that normally would be a 0-0 game... 💪

Love it just wish we were a bit more ruthless we sometimes make games tougher than they should be

Love the way they both link up well. Reminds me of bains and piernaar

peanuts would be proud of that goal.

Very gpod but we could do with more long range passes rather than always playing out from the back, which gives the defence time to gather.

Bernard's goal was great. But what about that ball from Digne in the 1st place to find him

Without the pass there was no goal, brilliant from Digne

That pass from Digne won’t get any recognition in the media. Fantastic.

Great game come on you blues keep it up 💙💙💙

So happy he scored, hopefully he can kick on a get a few more throughout the season 🙂

2 games, 4 points and two clean sheets. Quite happy with that. Our centre half pairing is becoming a Meane Machine

Is it too early to call Bernard the Second Coming of Inchy? :D

Bernard, Bernard will tear you apart again.....

My two favorite players combo!

It’s progression again for the ev ,,, clean sheet... debut for gbamin who looks like he will phil the position well lack fire power with dcl great hold up play but not much else really in my opinion

The new Peanut/ Baines

That ball from Digne!! Unbelievable the pair of them!!!

Digne best left back in the prem👌🔥🔥

Put Tom Davies on more often. the boy will show ya'll flames🔥💯trust me.

Started well.Dug in.Could Of had four on another day.Happy enough

Got to pass better, and keep the ball better. Need to work the ball up the field better too. A good 3pts though. Well done!🙂

3 pts and a clean sheet. Not a great performance but that will improve 😄

Excited xx

Good 3 points. Keep it up blues 💙⚽️

Stuck in Abersoch lovely but too far from goodison

Get in there lads boss job today keep it up x

Need massive improvement but weldone take the three points

Three points, happy days.

1-0 every week, home or away, will do me. COYB

3pts.Clean sheet.Good win.Keep it going lads.👍

Bring iwobi on next match and start kean

Well done boys we can only improve!🤙

Good win!! Clean sheet! Happy days!

Passing needs to improve , Kean needs to start Dom never looks like scoring we need a goal scorer not a striker who just works hard

Good win , solid performance to build on , COYB

Good to win even when not playing well. In the past it would have been a draw at best

Soooooooo made up best team in the land 💙⚽️💙⚽️💙⚽️👍🏻

Hard work, but we won 😅

Back four is solid!!!!!@

Good win new lads don’t well

Good first half but second half seemed dreary. Should play Kean on Friday against Villa

Any injuries and it will show we are short of quality , good win but not a striker for me DCL .

Can I just say because he gets a lot of stick on here, I thought DCL was fantastic, his work rate and the majority of his hold up was good, there where times he was so isolated I felt sorry for him, especially 2nd half. Gbamin 1st half I thought he was great, must have tired 2nd half but he's a hell of a presence. Hard fought win but deserved and those results can make a difference after 38 games

clean sheets are a good thing. loved the goal by Bernard. 4 points in the opening 2 games should make every Toffee fan happy.

Fantastic goal by Bernard after a lovely Digne ball and another clean sheet happy days

Would love to see Kean in the Starting XI after his performance. Looked really strong and composed out there despite the missed opportunities.

Gutted for Kean, had some great chances. Really looking forward to seeing him develop.

Good three points but I thought we didn't look fit and the two new boys were shattered . Kean was only on for about 15 minutes and was really tired . I don't think you can play either of them from the start until they are up to a better level of fitness . I think it was easy to see how much we miss Gueye

1st home win with clean sheet, brilliant.

People moaning about DCL. I love the kid, great attitude and does everything well except goals. Futures looking bright blues!

Today was always going to be a tricky game but we won and shown a fight and desire to win at all costs it was great for Gbamin to get his full debut and kean looked very good when he came on Keane and Mina at the back will only get stronger and stronger a win another clean sheet same again next Friday top of league UTFT 💙 💙 💙

Kean looked excellent and Richarlison needs to capitalize on those chances!

Not the best game, looked off the pace. A win is a win, we look a bit one dimensional

Good 1st win and another clean sheet if we can continue to scrape wins until all the new boys settle in then we could be in for a memorable year. Gbamin and Gomez already look like a good pairing and Kean looked good when he came on, so far it looks promising.

Not the best performance, particularly second half. But a win is a win and a clean sheet. 👍

Bernard was incredible today, Kean looked good too, excited to see him at full match sharpness.

1st game at home and a win, happy days!

Glad we got the 3 points. Positives = another clean sheet. Gbamin improved and took the constructive feedback on the chin and quickened his game and awareness up. Mina & Keane are forming a good partnership and played well. Moise got more minutes under his belt and seemed to have 2 chances in 20 minutes than DCL has in 70 mins. His last shot was close and they’ll come. DCL did work hard for the team though. Both our full backs were great defensively and going forward. Bernard is dangerous with his creativity, control and vision, love that he works hard for the team too. Gomes makes the midfield cool, calm and collected and dictates the tempo. Pickford made a great save was his dish again and very good with his ball control. Richarlison needs to raise his game more, be more focused. He needs to link up better with Coleman. Get Tim Cahil to teach him how to head the ball as he got into 2 decent positions for headers. Overall, 3 points should bring confidence to the team along with a clean sheet. Not a complete, controlled performance but we will get there. 4/6 points not bad, now let’s kick on to the next game 👊🏻

Defensively sound, Keane looks a handful but some of the passing going forward was really poor but overall good 3 points

2nd half painful but clean sheet and win so happy days. Keane needs to start next game. Unlucky not to bag and showed more in 15 min cameo than DCL ever does.

Start Kean for crying out loud, did more in fifteen minutes than DCL has done in the last few games, Bernard played out of his skin, well fought team performance. Clean sheet and three points. Getting pissed tonight for sure. COYB. 💙👌

Back 4 quality again, not helped at all by our midfield and attackers, ball retention was shocking, kean has got to start next week, look quality when he came on

Happy 1st win good 3 points hope digne injury not to serious but Bernard goal brilliant up the blue's

Good win and could have been more. Defensively thought we looked good, Bernard knows he's under pressure and stepped up...seemed to torment Watford as best he could. Maybe best of the attackers. Was disappointed with Moise kean's finishing....plenty of time to place a shot on his first attempt, but looked for the spectacular. But still early days for him. Either way, delighted to win!!

End of the day, a win is a win. The guys are getting fitter and look to be linking up with each other yes there’s going to be ups and downs but much stronger this year.

Brilliant first half second half not as good but overall derserved the 3 points🔵⚪

Was not the best of games...but we got the three points! COYB

Come on Alex! Hope you have a great home debut! 😊

Fantastic! Wish I could be there

stunning.💙..wish I was there 😥

Good luck xxxx

The grand old lady looks fabulous. COYB!!!!

Nice Blue

The passion and pride is coming back to goodison after a few tough years, we gotta show visiting teams that the players, club and fans mean buisiness, its gunna take some time to get the team exactly the way we want and the club is moving forwards with making us a force again so its all positve for us i think, we all just need to be patient with the team as the signs are good for sure

Ummm glad to be back but everyone seems to have flags but the back few rows of the top balcony?

To all the “Liverpool fans” commenting. Most of you are too busy watching the match through the lens of your phones so jog on!

Moaners moaning...... not a bad line-up and the bench is strong giving Silva the opportunity to change as needs be. I can see both Kean and Iwobi getting runs. Bernard and DCL are good for 60 minutes then we have reinforcements.

Decent result with Gomez and ricki half fit..with gbamin who still getting use to the pace of the game

Can we wear this seasons kit this time ?

Calvert Lewin, nice lad, just dosent score enough, time to take a seat lad..

Why are people moaning about the flags! Boss touch from Everton on the first home game of the season! Stay classy, Everton!

Orada olmak için herşeyi yapardım...ama imkansız

Well done blues 👏🏻👏🏻 Kean has to start from now on, DCL is a waste of time

Would like to see Keane and Alex start rather than be on the bench today. COYB

Nothing wrong with flags stop moaning and enjoy the day at Goodison 😡😡

Lets be honest we were garbage . Watford were toothless and we were hanging on .. Not good

Come on you blue boys.3.0 today.

If can hang on it’s 3 points but terrible performance so far dont think foster touch ball for last 70 mins

Nice one keep it going Toffee men 👍💙⚽

Why in God’s name are there flags on every seat. So fake and beneath us.

If you want to make this uniform please tell me

Hopefully we'll play better than we did against Crystal Palace and get some goals!
