Southampton Football Club is a professional association football club based in Southampton, Hampshire.

Their home ground since 2001 has been St Mary's Stadium, before which they were based at The Dell. The club has been nicknamed "The Saints" since its inception in 1885 due to its history as a church football team, founded as St. Mary's Church of England Young Men's Association, and play in red and white shirts. Southampton has a long-standing rivalry with Portsmouth due to its close proximity and both cities' respective maritime history. Matches between the two sides are known as the South Coast derby.

The club has won the FA Cup once, in 1976, and their highest-ever league finish was second in the First Division in 1983–84. Southampton were relegated from the Premier League on 15 May 2005, ending 27 successive seasons of top-division football for the club. They returned after a seven-year absence, and have played there ever since.

🔥 Dani Osvaldo 🆚 Sofiane Boufal 😱

Two of the greatest solo goals ever seen at St Mary's, but tell us which was your favourite!

Moments of the Decade: Osvaldo vs Boufal

Comment on Facebook

2 brilliant goals but neither of them did much else!

Loved both especially the Osvaldo celebration but the 2 West Brom players colliding with each other left me in stitches! Boufal! Sort yourself out

Looking forward to boufal under Ralph!!

Boufal, simply as it lit up a dreadful dull game

Boufal is my favourite goal 👍

The Two signings along with Gaston that I was most looking forward to seeing for southampton! 😂😂😂

No Boufal, no party... 😂😂😂

Of give boufal a chance under ralph will give us an extra dimension if Ralph can sort his attitude deffo got talent

Boufal brilliant goal

Boufal 👌

Boufal

Boufal 💪💪

Boufal

Still think Boufal can come good under Ralph.

Lewis Hill Osvaldo for me ⚽️⚽️

Boufal played like a 9 year old never passing the ball. Usually lost it and occasionally put it in the goal

Both brilliant players, too bad it just didnt work out for them at Southampton.

A lot of money wasted on two temperamental players that failed to deliver regularly.

Osvaldo for me as it was against a much better defence and I loved the way he turned Kompany inside out. Boufals was great but West Brom pretty much stood off and let him run past them.

No Boufal.....No party

Two Saints legends up against each other, I’ll chose Boufal because although he was selfish and lazy he never head butted the skipper...

Boufal all day long, what makes it better is watching Dawson and Nyom collide 😂

Boufal was better

Osvaldo... Sent kompany for a hotdog then that finish 😍

Boufal definately

We love you❤️😂

You will score a few goals then you will be sold to Liverpool as Southampton are just a premiership development team
